Making Sausage
Ed and Brad started to make sausage today. They got all the meat ground up and mixed. Tonight they are putting it in the casings and tomorrow they will be smoking it. Ed is making Bratwurst and Andouille sausage. Brad is making bologna, slim jims and another kind. It will smell good here when they are smoking. Guess what we are having for dinner tomorrow night!?

Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve morning was started off with decorating sugar cookies, and opening a present form Mom and Dad. The first one was a mystery trip. The kids do not know where, but thankfully, Mom and Dad do! They will find out soon enough. The second present was a Wii! There were several times of waiting in line for the Wii before we finally got it! We have had fun all day long. Several times it actually told us that it was time for a break! But we havent stopped yet, except for dinner and church!

Hiding!
Fred hid today. Eddie came down the steps and at the bottom was the garbage can. When he went to put it away, he found a toy, in the toy cabinet was a pot, in the pot cabinet was a glass, in the glass cabinet was a bowl, in the bowl cabinet was FRED!!! Fred also got to go to school with Eddie yesterday. The teachers promised if they came yesterday, they would not be kidnapped! (which has happened when the kids brought them to school and played instead of doind their work) But while the kids were at lunch and the elves in the classroom, they all hid in there! I hope he settles down soon!

Fred is at it again!
Last night, Fred the Elf, took presents out from under the Christmas tree, stacked them in the middle of the room and sat on top of them! Kelli wrote a note to Santa that she wanted an Elf too, but Santa wrote back and said there are not enough to go around right now and she and Eddie would have to shart Fred!

Kellis Chorus Concert
Eddies Elf, Fred
There is a new fad here in Georgia and probably every where else too. It is Santa's Secret Elf. This is one of Santas elves that comes to your house. Every night you must feed it crackers and water and he comes alive at night time. Sometimes he does good things, but most of the time bad things. On Christmas Eve, Santa takes the elf back to the North Pole with him to work and make toys for the next year. Eddie wrote a note to Santa and asked for one of his elves. The elf appeared last night. While Eddie was sleeping the elf toilet papered Eddies bathroom! He is a cute elf, but I hope he doesnt make too many messes!

The UPS Store
This time of the year gets pretty busy at the stores. I think I heard someone say today that they were as busy as two REALLY good days at other times of the year (not December), and that was only at one of the stores. The other store was pretty busy too! Eds cousin, Shelley, has made the trip down from Pennsylvania two years in a row to help out for a several days at the stores. We are very thankful for her help! By the time Ed and Shelley get home each night, they are exhausted!

Roxanne
Roxanne will be celebrating her 8th birthday on Saturday, December 8th. That is 65 in human years. She is a very old 8 year old, thyroid problems, ear infection problems, seizures, but we still love her. Recently, since we put up the Christmas tree, this has been her new bed. She crawls under the tree, messes up the tree skirt, walks in circles and finally lays down to sleep. She just needs a bow around her to look like a Christmas present!

The Tree that Eddie Built
In Boy Scouts, Eddie has been working on a multi-set craft project. He made a Christmas tree. The tree was cut out, but he had to put the base on it, paint it and then string the lights on it. He is very proud of it and we have it sitting by the front door. The first thing he does when he gets home each night is plug it in!

Christmas Tree
Yesterday we put up our Christmas tree. A tradition for us is to put up the tree and decorate it while there is lasagna baking in the oven for dinner. We have done that for a long time. Unfortunately, this year, Kelli was sick. She woke up not feeling good in the morning and was throwing up. In my house, if you throw up, you get nothing by mouth for four hours after you throw up. Every time you throw up the four hours starts all over again. She finally was able to have some gatorade at 7 pm last night. She did hang up a few ornaments, but she usually helps me with the lights and garland. This year Kaila had that honor! The tree turned out great and Kelli is feeling better today. We put 327 ornaments on the tree. I am sure we will add about 15 more before the end of the holiday!

Thanksgiving 2007
We traveled to PA for Thanksgiving again this year. We left on Tuesday the 20th. We had a uneventful trip up, very little traffic, good weather, and no deer accidents. It took about 12 hours to get there. We arrived at Mom and Dads shortly after Pat, Erynn, Sean and Hadley arrived. The next day, Peg and Nathan arrived. The house was starting to get full. Dave, Barbara, Ricky, Abbie, and JP arrived on Thanksgiving day. Now it was time to hang out the no vacancy sign! At night you had to be careful where you walked because there were people sleeping everywhere! Judy, Marty, Deb, John, Uncle Norb, and Jill came for Thanksgiving dinner. We had a great time, and the food was wonderful. It was so good to see everyone! We came home on Saturday to beat the traffic. The trip home took a little bit longer then the trip north did, but again uneventful.
