More Snow!

It started to snow again this morning. When I got up at 7:30 it was sleeting and then by 10:00 it was snowing. It has been snowing since then! The kids are so excited! Eddie has been outside since around 11:30 and the girls were out, made a snowman and came back in. They are warming up and heading back out side soon!

This is Kaila and Kelli with Joseph, the snowman. Not bad for 2 Georgia Peaches!!

Eddie sledding down the hill. Unfortunatley we don't get enough snow here to actually have sleds, so he improvised and used the lid to the sandbox!

Snow Day!!!

It is official, we have a day off tomorrow. I got the phone call at 8:30pm that school was canceled for tomorrow. The kids are thrilled and already are asking if they can go sled riding tomorrow! I will post more pictures tomorrow, probably of the kids sled riding! The dogs don't know what to think about the snow.

Snow day???

It has started to snow! All week the weatherman has said there is a possibility and here it is! The kids went outside to start playing in it. I made them put on coats after I took the picture and they decided to stay! Will we have school tomorrow? It is hard to say, but in Georgia the first sign (or should I say the first thought that there might be snow) and most everything shuts down. Thankfully I am stocked with milk, bread and peanut butter! The shelves at the grocery store are probably empty by now!! The snow list was passed out at school today. I am at the bottom of my level, so after my phone call, I can go back to sleep!

Another driver soon?

I went to the DMV today and got the Drivers Manual for Kaila to start to study. She needs to know this inside, outside and upside down! She will then take a test and if she passes, get a drivers permit. Of course there is other paperwork she needs, attendance certificate from school (in the state of GA you cant have more then 10 unexcused absences or you do not get a permit, she has one from the trip to PA at Thanksgiving), birth certificate, parent signature, etc. I will keep you posted.

Claire

We welcome to our family the newest member, Claire Lynleigh! She was born on New Years day. She is the daughter of Carrie and Jeff . Carrie is Eds sister, Cindys daughter. While we were in Florida at Universal Studios, we drove to their house on evening to visit. They live in Florida near Tampa.

Universal Studios Florida

We took the kids to Universal Studios in Florida. We left on January 1st and came back on January 6th. We had a wonderful time dispite the very cold temps on Wednesday and Thursday. The kids got to meet many characters including Shrek, Donkey, Woody Woodpecker, Spiderman, The Simpsons, Shaggy and Scooby. We rode most of the rides. Kailas favorite was the Hulk roller coaster. She rode it 8 times! All in all, she rode the different roller coasters 17 times! Kelli loved the Storm Force ride which is like the tea cup ride at Disney (pictured above in yellow). Eddies favorite ride was Spiderman. It is a 3-D ride. The family as a whole liked Spiderman (rode it 7 times) and the Men in Black Alien Attack ride. That one you got to shoot monsters for a score. We drove to Tampa on Friday night to meet our newest great niece, Claire, born on New Years Day. On Saturday, we went to the parks for a while and then left and headed to Ormond Beach to see Mom and Dad. Spent the night there and drove back home on Sunday. We had a great time. The kids are already wanting to go back soon!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDDIE!

Wow! I cant believe that Eddie is 11 years old today! It seems like only yesterday you were born! We spent the day on the road today coming home from Florida (more about that in a separate blog coming soon)! I told him we would have his birthday dinner and cake tomorrow evening. He has ordered T-bone steaks and chocolate cake with peanut butter icing! We did have a cake at Grammy and Pops lake house (aka condo in Florida) last night when we arrived there.
