Basement Update

The basement is really coming along. We anticipate being done within the next week.

The counter tops for both the bar and Eds office came in this week and were installed. The tap for the keg was also installed

This is the counter top in the bar area. The sink is also installed, although not plumbed yet.

The front of the bar. Ed is planning to stain it today. He sanded it down last night to get it ready

The game room. We were able to put the kids pool table back in this room with the piece of carpet and the game console fit too!

The theater room, a very popular room with everyone! Ed got some more James Bond posters for in there, some from Cousins Shelley and Randy and some that he bought.

The TV and components. The girls have already had two sleep overs with friends to watch movies and play the Wii that we moved down there too.

Basement Update

Some parts of the basement are finished! I cleaned out my sewing room last week and wiped down everything. It had a nice coating of drywall dust on it. I can start to sew again!

We started to move some of the furniture into the "man cave".

More pictures of the man cave. We are still waiting for the counter top to come in for the cabinets.

The exercise room is finished and we have started to work out in it again!

The bathroom is also finished! I bought some blue towels and accesories to go in there.

Eddies Boy Scout Crossover

Each of the families brings a dessert to share. The theme of the ceremony was The Great Outdoors. This is the cake that I made for the theme.

Eddie crossed over into Boy Scouts last night at his Blue and Gold Banquet. He was very excited about this next step in Boy Scouts. He was one of three boys who chose to go the next step.

He got to carry the American Flag in the opening flag ceremony.

Here, Ed and I are removing his Cub Scout neckerchief and the colors on his shoulders before crossing over the bridge.

This is the bridge that he crossed over. A tradition is for each boy who crosses over to put their name on the bridge somehow. Eddie did a leathercraft circle with his name on it. It is hanging on the "down ramp" on the right side of the bridge.

After he crossed over the bridge, Boy Scouts from his new troop put new shoulder colors on and a new neckerchief and then he shakes hands with the boys and the leaders. The person shaking Eddies hand is his new Cubmaster. The other two men are his other leaders.

He is very excited about beginning this new experience. His first meeting is tomorrow night and he is going camping in a few weeks with them.
